Dark Roast
Smoke and magic abound in our French Roast coffee blend. Intense and lingering for days.
We hold our breath when we roast French because, well, it’s actually a little dangerous. Our French is so dark, we push the batch just to the inside edge of fire. This tightrope walk allows the beans to baste in their own smoke, absorbing every inch of intensity along the way. As we get closer and closer to the end, smoke finds a way to escape from all the cracks and crevices in the roaster and ductwork, like some b-roll from that show Chicago Fire. Then we close our eyes, count to 3 and throw the door open, dropping the batch of glistening dark beans into the copoling tray, averting disaster yet again. It's worth the risk to make all of you dark roast coffee monsters happy.

This is a very good full-bodied coffee for my every morning 2-mug habit. But I think I prefer the Mocha Java which is a little richer and sweeter.
